Part of my work has been to visit active and recently active volcanoes around the world to better understand their geology. The main goal has been to see what the different rock types are, how volcanic craters formed, and look at moving lava flows so that I can better interpret volcanoes on other planets (esp. Mars). This field work has taken me all over the Earth, and I have worked on volcanoes in Hawaii, the Galapagos islands, the Andes, Central America, the Philippines, Reunion Island, and Iceland. This has let me see some spectacular landscapes. I hope that you enjoy some of these images!
